The Formula Behind It

The widely used standard, recommended by AICTE and followed by most Indian universities, is:

Percentage = (SGPA × 10) − 7.5

Here SGPA is your semester score and the −7.5 adjustment aligns the 10-point output with the percentage bands institutions expect. To go the other way, the reverse formula is SGPA = (Percentage + 7.5) ÷ 10.

How it works
